Nopenhagen & Flopenhagen

Two portmanteau terms reflecting fears (now confirmed) that the climate change talks in Copenhagen would not produce a satisfactory agreement.

Reporting on the Copenhagen accord, The New Indian Express commented:

It was billed by its Danish hosts as Hopenhagen, but long before it wound its way to a damning and disappointing conclusion, it was attracting new appellations in the media like Nopenhagen andFlopenhagen.
